When I was inspired by the Sanskrit text I found years ago (see my “Energy Flowing Through, not From” post), I found a second phrase that resonated very powerfully for me: “Matrika Shakti.” Remember that childhood chant, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me”? This is completely and absolutely inaccurate. “Matrika Shakti” explains that words and thoughts each carry a specific energy and resonance. Our lives follow the path that is formed by these energies through the thoughts we think, the words we say and the text we write/type. Therefore, it is critically important to be conscious of what words we use, for their energies are far more influential than we may recognize.
One of my favorite scenes is from the story “The Help” when the main character, Aibileen, tells her young charge Mae, “You is kind. You is smart. You is important.” There may be many times when we struggle to feel connected to Spirit and the precious magnificence of our souls. Even on those days when we feel lost, defeated and sad or even angry, we can strive to be mindful of how we communicate and what we say of ourselves and others. It is a beautiful gift to be reminded of our own preciousness by someone else, especially when we are struggling to feel it ourselves.
So consider what you think, what words you say, what you share through social media, and most especially what you write/type. Seek to choose words that illustrate what you wish to embrace most fully and powerfully with your life and your heart. This is an incredibly powerful piece of manifestation and creating the type of magnetic energy to pull you into your heart’s desire.
