Privacy is Important

I’ve worked with several clients in recent weeks for whom a shared theme has come through. They are each navigating different circumstances (difficult manager at work, questionably trustworthy relationships, delicate family politics). Yet in each situation, I was shown similar guiding wisdom, encouraging each person to be mindful of how much to share openly. I found it fascinating that with these different readings, each client was specifically advised to keep certain things private, avoiding full disclosure. Continue reading “Privacy is Important”

Blessing for Spring Equinox

Lord of the springtime, Father of flower, field and fruit, smile on us in these earnest days when the work is heavy and the toil wearisome; lift up our hearts, O God, to the things worthwhile — sunshine and night, the dripping rain, the song of the birds, books and music, the voices of our friends. Lift up our hearts to these this night and grant us Thy peace. Amen.

International Women’s Day: “Still I Rise”

When I think of strong, amazing women, Maya Angelou is one who always comes to my mind. I admire her and her incredible life’s legacy for so many reasons.  Today I feel grateful to her, celebrating International Women’s Day, and hoping for the day to come when women’s rights across the globe will be treasured, honored and respected.

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise. Continue reading “International Women’s Day: “Still I Rise””

Help from the Other Side

I’ve done some work with a client I’ll call “Annie.” In our first session, Annie’s father came through very clearly. When he first stepped forward, I felt such overwhelming sadness rolling off of him in waves, that it very nearly brought me to tears. Annie shared that when he was alive, their relationship was complicated from many issues he had, and his harsh criticism and emotional manipulation was tremendously damaging to her growing up.

From Spirit, Annie’s Dad made it clear that he is very much around her Continue reading “Help from the Other Side”

March 1st Full Moon

Today, March 1, 2018, is the “Worm Moon,” the last full moon before spring equinox, marking the end of winter and the beginning of spring. This is the time of year when the earthworms begin to emerge, rooting through the soil, loosening the earth for new growth.

God stir the soil,
Run the ploughshare deep,
Cut the furrows round and round,
Overturn the hard, dry ground,
Spare no strength nor toil,
Even though I weep.
In the loose, fresh mangled earth
Sow new seed.
Free of withered vine and weed
Bring fair flowers to birth.

Animal Communication

I’ve been practicing with some animal communication sessions. I’ve had success in helping to locate two lost dogs, and had some good sessions with horses and dogs, tapping into information about what is happening with them currently, and what they each felt would be helpful and beneficial to them.

In a session I did very recently with a geriatric dog, the big questions her human Mom had was, “Are you in pain?” and “How can I best support you right now?”  Continue reading “Animal Communication”

Hug O’ War

I will not play at tug o’ war.
I’d rather play at hug o’ war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.

Clarity, Balance and Connection

Consider the chakra system of the human body. The Sanskrit word “Chakra” translates to “wheel” and is a spinning energetic center of the body. We have seven main chakras. The lower chakras, the root (1st-physical), the sacral (2nd-emotional) and solar plexus (3rd-mental) are aligned to support the heart chakra (4th). The heart is the conjunction within the body between the physical and the spiritual realms. The upper chakras, 5th (throat), 6th (third eye, the forehead) and 7th (the crown, which opens to Spirit) align to connect with the sacred, beyond our physical bodies. When we pray, Continue reading “Clarity, Balance and Connection”
