I connected with Red Rock Business Advisors, a CPA firm in Sterling, Virginia that has recently moved into a new, larger office space. They were looking for artwork to hang in their lobby area and commissioned two pieces. With their tan walls and marbled floors which carry beautiful earthy tones, this deep red combined with black, gold and off-white colors will really showcase well. I am thrilled with the results and Red Rock Business Advisors are very happy with their finished paintings which now hang in their lobby.

My most recent commission, which I will deliver tomorrow, is for a lawyer practicing here in Leesburg, VA. This client was drawn to my work and wanted a painting for his office to give him an uplifting visual. Because of the portion of his case load that involves divorce and custody cases, he needed a piece that would also be soothing to clients. I am quite pleased with the resulting piece, which I have named, "Hope-Filled Horizon."

My favorite projects to work on are commissioned pieces. I love meeting new people, seeing new places, both personal and professional. It is a delightful and creative challenge for me to create a visual image that captures and celebrates the energy of a specific space.

Above is a painting I created for the dining room of clients who live in North Carolina. They had recently moved into a new home and were wanting a special piece of art to tie together both the furniture of their dining set as well as their china. They sent me a photograph of the room and the dimensions for the space in which they wanted the final piece to hang. They were thrilled with the results, I am happy to report!

Below is a painting I created specifically for the home office of a client who wanted inspiration for vision.

The following is a piece I designed and created several years ago for a massage therapist's office wall. This client was seeking something that would carry the energy of relaxation, healing and personal growth. The resulting artwork is what I call "wall sculpture" as these are creations with significant texture. They are shapes which represent the West African medicine wheel and the five elements of water, nature, fire, mineral and earth.

"Tree of Life" pictured below is a commissioned piece I created for a client in the healing arts field. This is a mixed media piece ... acrylic paint over heavy chording for depth and texture.

This painting, "Infinite Possibility" is a 60 x 48" acrylic on canvas painting I created for a home office in 2007, for a client who had large wall spaces and was seeking a dramatic centerpiece for the room.

If you have a space on a wall in your office or home, I would love to create a piece especially for you.
